Annual costs
Membership: £12.00 annual subscription
This includes:
- insurance during Preston u3a approved activities
- a well-regulated charitable constitution approved by the Charities Commission
- two editions annually of our own Preston u3a 'Good Times' magazine
- a weekly newsletter
- direct communications via our secure e-mail system (Beacon)
- home delivery of the u3a Third Age Trust (TAT) magazine
If you'd like to save Preston u3a £4 per member, you can choose to read the Third Age Trust magazine for free online. Please 'unsubscribe' when you fill out the joining form, or tell the membership secretary at any time.

You may re-subscribe to the TAT magazine at any time.
There's an additional small cost to join in an event or interest group
This covers room hire and ensures that, with 70 groups on the go, we keep our running costs minimal
- £3.00 for group meetings, and indoor events
- £4.00 for group meetings with a paid , externally-sourced tutor i.e. Yoga (we do not pay our members for running groups)
- £1.00 for groups meeting in members' homes
- £2.00 for Monthly Meetings
One-off events, outings, theatre visits etc will have their own costs. See the information in the listing on the Events page
All Interest Groups that meet outdoors are free.
