Group A

An understanding of the Exposure Triangle and of the basics of Photo Composition, such as the Rule of Thirds.

A basic knowledge of colour theory and how this translates into their image taking and Image Editing.

The ability to transfer images into a Computer, to Edit an image and to include it within a Digital Album.

All the above criteria are just a guidelines and these elements are included in some of the pre-prepared Presentations which are available to be shown at Group meetings.

Group B

Is aimed as beginners and those less confident in understanding and using their digital image capture device.

Primarily Group B is intended to be primarily practical “hands on”, with exercises and group discussions.

Groups A & B

Attendance at Group A meetings is available to all who have signed up to the Photography Group and many of the 50 prepared Presentations on Photography and Digital Images are applicable to both Group A and Group B members, but there will more technical content in some of the presentations.

Workbook applicable to both Groups

The “Digital Photography Compete Course” book, which is readily available to buy has been selected to help guide members who are seeking to improve their photographic knowledge and skills.  Using the same book will help members to “be on the same page” with regard to the various chapters and the knowledge and skills that are available to be learned.
